Which to take? ACT vs SAT

If you're confused about which test is going to help you go to the college of your choice, you're not alone. Here's what The Princeton Review says about the SAT and the ACT: http://www.princetonreview.com/sat-act.aspx.

How to take the SAT/ACT

Take a look at this video from Kaplan on how to take the SAT and ACT exams and do well.

2015-2016 ACT

There is a practice test packet available in the Student Services office. Mr. Yordy has compiled a list of dates and locations near Westview to make it easier for you. See him in Student Services for this list. Below are reminders:

  • Price is $56.50 (or free with a Fee Waiver).
  • When registering, remember to put Westview down as  your home high school. Then, we will put your score on your official WV transcript. Most colleges will honor your SAT score on our transcript. Purdue/IU are glaring exceptions, send it directly.
  • You can choose up to 4 colleges to send scores directly (and free). Take advantage!
  • Report to the test center by 7:45 am on Saturday.
  • Print off your admission ticket and take it with you to your site.
  • Bring an acceptable photo ID (driver's license or student ID card).
  • Bring an acceptable calculator.
  • Bring two #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils).
  • You may also bring:
    • a watch without an alarm (NO cell phone)
    • a bag or backpack (kept under your seat)
    • snack or drink (kept in bag and consumed only in the hall during break)

GOOD LUCK!
