The Westview JH boys cross country team won the NECC JH Conference meet last Wednesday evening with an almost perfect score of 16 points. This is the 8th consecutive conference title for the Westview boys team. Individual conference champion was Darin Bontrager who is the 7th consecutive individual conference winner from Westview. Others were Richmond Stoltzfus (2013), Kent Yoder(2014), Anthony Schwartz(2015), Spencer Carpenter(2016), Daryl Chupp(2017), and DeWayne Miller(2018). Placing for the Warriors after Bontrager were Keith Yoder 2nd, Noah Bontrager 3rd, Austin Miller 4th, Brandon Schwartz 6th, Jeryle Lambright 7th, and Lyle Miller 8th. The JV conference race was won by Braidon Schwartz from Westview.
The Westview JH girls cross country team placed 2nd at the NECC Conference meet on Wednesday. Individual conference champion was Anita Swartzentruber from Westview. She is the first individual female conference champion from Westview since Emily Stutzman in 2014. Others placing for Westview were Lynette Miller 4th, Gwen Owsley 5th, Adelyn Rainsberger 8th, Kiana Mast 15th, Katie Whittern 32nd, and Annagail Warrener 43rd. Leigha Schrock from Westview was the JV race individual champion.
