A Message to 8th Grade Parents from Mr. Rojas
Dear Parents,
It is my sincere wish that this communication finds you and your family well and healthy. This year has been one we will remember for a long time. We have all been challenged to adjust our normal routines and to pivot to create a new normal. Many of our daily, weekly, and seasonal activities or events have been affected by the spread of the Novel Corona Virus (Covid19). I want to thank you for your patience as you have been waiting for a decision from WJH/WSC on our 8th grade Promotion Ceremony.

Due to the current situation with the Covid 19 virus, the 8th grade Promotion Ceremony has been cancelled for 2020. We did not take this decision lightly, but thoroughly considered our options. At the forefront of our decision is the safety and wellbeing of all parties involved in orchestrating such an event. I value each student, staff, and guest and do not want to jeopardize anybody's health. I am aware this decision affects plans and decisions that have already been made in preparation leading up to the ceremony. I both ask and thank you for your understanding in this unique situation.

We want to acknowledge and honor the academic milestone of every 8th grade student; therefore, we will be mailing a WJH 8th grade Promotion Packet. Our intention is to provide a tangible memento while providing closure to this school year and school phase. Packets will be mailed at the end of the month, and you should expect them on or around May 28th.

If you have any questions, please direct them to me via email rojase@westview.k12.in.us or via phone at 1-260-768-4146 Ext: 6004

Thank you,
Mr. Rojas
