The Board of School Trustees, Westview School Corporation, will receive sealed bids at the Administrative Office, 1545 600 West, Topeka, IN 46571, until 10:00 a.m. DST on Wednesday March 30, 2022, for the Westview School Corporation Parking Lot Rehabilitation project. The bid opening will be held in the Administrative Offices of 1545 600 West, Topeka, IN 46571.
Bids shall be received as a single unified bid, and shall include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the drawings, instructions and specifications as prepared by Abonmarche Consultants, Inc. Information and Bidding Documents for the Project will be available on Thursday March 10, 2022 and can be found at the following designated website: http://www.abonmarche.com/bids. There is no fee for registration on the plan holder’s list or to download electronic bidding documents. Hard copies are available from the issuing office of Abonmarche, 927 S. Harrison Street, Suite 300, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 (260) 218-2500. The fee for obtaining hard copy documents is Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00). An additional Ten Dollars ($10.00) will be charged for plans requiring shipping. Bidding Documents will also be on file for viewing purpose only at the Administrative Offices of Westview School Corporation, 1545 600 West, Topeka, IN 46571 or at the Fort Wayne Abonmarche location 927 S. Harrison, Suite 300.
All bids shall be properly and completely executed on State Board of Accounts Form 96 with non-collusion affidavit as required by the Statutes of Indiana. Bidders will be required to file with their bids a Bid Bond or a Certified Check, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of their maximum bid or bids submitted.
Bids will be opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. DST on Wednesday March 30, 2022, at the Administrative Offices of Westview School Corporation, 1545 600 West, Topeka, IN 46571. Any bids received after that time will be returned unopened to the bidder. No bids shall be withdrawn without the consent of the school for a period of sixty calendar days after the date and time set for receipt of bids. Successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor Material Payment Bond in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Such bonds shall be written in the amount of 100% of the contract sum.
The project can commence on or after May 30, 2022, and shall be completed by August 1, 2022.
Westview School Corporation reserves the right to assignment of any or all work to a school holding corporation formed under Indiana law.
A pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. DST at Westview School Corporation Administration offices located at 1545 600 West, Topeka, IN, 46571. At this time the Owner’s Representative and school administration will be available for questions. All questions will be answered in writing through an addendum. The last day for question will be March 24, 2022, so a final addendum can be issued on March 25, 2022.
The Board of School Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids and is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid and may waive informalities in bids.
