3rd and 4th grade Reading Club students have been practicing their visualization skills while reading. We recently read the book “A Bad Case of Stripes” by David Shannon. We visualized the character Camilla Cream while reading the story, but it was even better meeting her in real life. She was exactly how we pictured her!

Pastry Chef, Molly Michael, from Emma Cafe and Catering taught 3rd & 4th grade students about the art of decorating cookies this week. This experience was made possible by a grant from Dekko.
Students and staff cheered on the Westview Cross Country team as they ran though our halls. We all wish them the best of luck as they run at State for the fourth year in a row. It was especially fun for staff members to see some of our former Meadowview students on the team.

Grandparents Day, 2018
We welcomed Grandparents to Meadowview on October 12th.
Red Ribbon Week begins on Monday. The theme is “I’m Too Bright for Drugs!” Students and staff are encouraged to wear red on Monday; and bright colors on Tuesday.
Prize money drawing for students that sold more than four boxes of chocolate for the Meadowview fundraiser. Prize money ranged from $5 to $50!

Parents: It is parent teacher conference time so make sure you check your child’s book bag for your scheduled time. Teachers are busy preparing for conferences.

Third graders from Meadowview went to Bonneyville Mills today to learn about the history of the Mills, wetlands, and the Native Americans who lived in this area before the settlers arrived.
