🎄 Christmas Program Success! 🎶
Our Christmas program last week was an absolute hit! The students shined on stage! So much talent, so much joy, and so much fun. We loved seeing their confidence and excitement as they performed!

A big thank-you to all the families who came out to support them. Your presence made the night even more special. And a HUGE shoutout to Mrs. Metzler, our incredible music teacher, for all of her hard work and dedication. She put together a beautiful program and we’re so grateful for her!

🦃✨ Our 2nd graders celebrated Thanksgiving in the sweetest way — with a special feast and fun holiday activities! We loved having parents join us to share in the food, laughter, and memories. Our hearts (and plates!) were full. We are thankful for our students, our families, and all the moments that make this school feel like a community. 🍁🥧💛

This is Marissa’s second year as an interventionist assistant here at Shipshe-Scott, and she continues to shine. Marissa brings so much fun and positive energy to our school, pairs it with an amazing work ethic, and is the kind of coworker everyone loves to have! She builds wonderful connections with students and truly makes a difference every day.

🎈 Hooray for the Balloon Parade! 🎈
Our 3rd graders brought the Thanksgiving Day Parade right to our halls with their own one-of-a-kind balloons! Their creativity was on full display, and they LOVED showing off their masterpieces as they paraded through classrooms and down the halls. What a fun and festive way to celebrate!

Last week we secretly planned some underground spirit days for the staff—because why should the kids have all the fun?! 😎🎉 We rocked hat day, costume day, and even a decades day! The hallways were full of laughter, wild outfits, and lots of confused stares from students trying to figure out if their teachers had officially lost it. 😂👒🕺💃

Westview Jr-Sr High School

Staff Sergeant Ismael Rodriguez-Torres served 3 ½ years in the U.S. Army and another 11 ½ years in the Indiana National Guard for a total of 14 years of service. He served one tour in Afghanistan, 2 in Iraq, and was sent to help during Hurricane Katrina. He works for Westview as the head custodian at Westview Junior-Senior High School.

Rich Bender served in the U.S. Air Force from 1989-1993. He now teaches College Credit Intro to Engineering Design, Intro to Agriculture Food and Natural Resources, Business Math, Principles of Industry 4.0 and Digital Design, and Robotics Design and Innovation at Westview Jr-Sr High School.

Sergeant Jessica Moon served in the Army National Guard from 2007-2012. She is now a classroom assistant at the Westview Jr-Sr High School.

Meadowview Elementary

Staff Sergeant Francis Warren served 14 years in the Missouri Army National Guard from 1987-2001. He is now Meadowview Elementary’s recess monitor.

Bus Driver

Arthur Kalb served from January 1988 to December 2000 in the Indiana Army National Guard. He is now a bus driver for Westview.
