🎃🍂 Kindergarten Fun at Knollbrook Farm! 🍂🎃

Our kindergartners had a wonderful time visiting Knollbrook Farm! They enjoyed lots of fun activities, explored the farm, and made some great fall memories with their classmates. Each student got to pick out a little pumpkin to bring home! 🎃

Our 4th grade students celebrated the end of their personal narratives unit with a cozy "Story Book Cafe" day! These young authors were treated to special drinks and snacks while they shared each others' stories.☕📚🍪

Today’s Shipshewana–Scott Elementary 2nd Grade field trip has been canceled due to weather. Students should still come to school as usual and bring a packed lunch.

⛺️✨ Camp Scottie was an evening to remember! ✨⛺️

We had so many Scottie families join us last Thursday for a beautiful evening full of creativity, hands-on fun, and plenty of smiles!

Students explored different stations where they could make their own parachute, create a pinwheel, build a popsicle-stick tent with Play-Doh, mix up their own trail mix, make giant bubbles, and even make popcorn kernels “dance” with a hands-on science experiment! To top it off, students who completed every station received a FREE BOOK to take home! 📚

Our PTO made the evening even sweeter with delicious popcorn and Vanilla Bean ice cream! 🍿🍦

A HUGE thank you to our hardworking Interventionist Team for making Camp Scottie possible, and thank you to all of our amazing families who came out and made the night so special!

We loved seeing so many of you enjoying the evening together.💙

Last week, our 4th graders enjoyed a Book Tasting in the library!📚 They got to sample different books and find some great reads for our Read for Red & Gold program. ❤️💛

A big shout-out to Mrs. Whittern, our librarian, for creating such a fun way to get students excited about reading! 📖✨

Our K-2 kiddos learned all about bus safety last week!

Camp Scottie is almost here!!🏕️🌳

Reminder: tomorrow evening (Thursday, Sept. 10) from 5:00-6:30pm come and hang out at Camp Scottie! We will have several fun stations for the kiddos. Plus our PTO will be providing FREE ice cream and popcorn!!🍦🍿

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on. See you then!✨

✨ Once upon a time… our 2nd graders had a magical day! 📚🧚‍♀️ They dressed the part and enjoyed fun, hands-on activities as they wrapped up their unit on Tall Tales and Fairy Tales! 👑📖

Our 4th grade and kindergarten buddies had the best time learning, working, and playing together! 💛📚✨

🎉 100% PASS RATE! 🎉

Our 4th graders had a BIG reason to celebrate for achieving a 100% pass rate on IREAD! 📚🏆 So naturally we had to celebrate with a victory lap around the school and a special snack to follow!

We’re incredibly proud of all the hard work our students put in, and we’re just as thankful for our amazing teachers who worked so hard to prepare them for success. They deserved some treats too!❤️

Our 3rd and 4th graders had an amazing opportunity to pack MannaPacks with Feed My Starving Children! Together, they packed nutritious meals that will be sent to children and families around the world. What a meaningful way to learn about serving others and making a difference! 🌎❤️ A special thank-you to our parent & adult volunteers who served right alongside our students!

If you are unfamiliar, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) has volunteers hand-pack MannaPack meals, specially formulated with nutrients, protein, vegetables, and grains to help prevent and reverse malnutrition. The finished meals are shipped to FMSC food partners around the world, who distribute them through schools, clinics, orphanages, and feeding programs to children and families experiencing hunger.
