For the past 4 years, Miss Hooley has been a steady and caring presence in our first grade classrooms. Her calm spirit balances out our lively little learners, and her patience and kindness make every day brighter. She’s the gentle hand, the steady smile, and the reason so many little moments turn into big successes. It’s clear her heart is truly in it. Our first graders are lucky to have her!💕
Thank you for everything you do, Miss Hooley! 💛

This was definitely the toughest category to judge — the creativity and craftsmanship were off the charts! We’re blown away by the talent our students showed through their amazing projects. 👏
Great job, artists!🖌️🎉

Our students worked so hard on their projects, and it really showed — every display was creative, thoughtful, and impressive. We’re so proud of all the effort and talent our students put into their work. The judging sure wasn’t easy with so many amazing entries!
(Arts & Crafts winners will be highlighted in a separate post!) 👏💡📚

⛺️📚 Camp vibes at school!
Our 2nd graders enjoyed Camp-Read-A-Lot while kindergarten had their own camping days! Students made tents to work under, read books with flashlights, and even gathered around pretend campfires.🔥
We love making learning fun—and let’s be honest, we’ll take any excuse to wear our pajamas! 😄

Last week!

The birthday coupons we give to students for Fawn River are only valid at the Shipshewana location.
A big thank you to Fawn River for supporting our students in such a fun and generous way! 💙

Last week, our students collected over 1,000 boxes of cereal to donate to local food pantries! To celebrate, we lined the hallways with all the boxes and created an epic cereal box domino run that the students got to watch topple in action — it was amazing!
A huge thank you to all the parents and students who donated and helped make a difference in our community. What a fun and meaningful way to give back! 💛👏

This week we’re celebrating Mrs. Lacey Troxel, who has been teaching kindergarten at Shipshewana-Scott for an incredible 19 years! Lacey is known for making learning fun and engaging — her students absolutely love being in her class. She’s full of creative ideas and is always up for a good dress-up day!
Thank you, Mrs. Troxel, for all the joy, energy, and heart you bring to our school every day. 💛👏

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great event — we’re already looking forward to the next one! 💫💙

Our school is collecting unopened cereal boxes to donate to two local food pantries — and we’re turning it into a fun competition! Each class is racing to collect the most boxes, and the winning class will earn a class party! 🎉
Before we donate, we’ll be using all the boxes to build a huge cereal box domino maze for students to watch topple over — it’s going to be epic! 🙌
Let’s make a difference and have some fun doing it! 💛
Keep those cereal boxes coming in! 🥣
