As part of its Bears that Care initiative, each February Topeka Elementary collects money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through their program Pennies for Patients. The containers are out and ready to be filled with a friendly grade level contest as part of the fun. At the end of the two weeks, students and staff hope to top last years total of $2,134.

Outside of Topeka Do-It Hardware you will find this book den. This allows students to choose a book or two to read, and return them when they are done.
A note from the Superintendent,
Dr. Miller.......................
If we would happen to cancel school before Monday, Feb. 17th (snow make-up day), then we will be going to school on that day. If we miss school on or after Feb. 17th up to Mar. 19th, then we will go to school on Mar. 20th (snow make-up day).
We can't predict the future with weather so we will take the opportunity to use the built in school calendar days if we have prior cancellations. This concept will also apply for the two days prior to Spring Break.
