Thank you to everyone in the community who participated in or donated to the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce's annual Power of the Purse and Wallet. This event helps ensure that No Tummy Goes Hungry. The event sponsors, attendees, those who donated, Miller Poultry, Shipshewana Lights of Joy, and Tri Kappa all contributed toward the $39,667. We are grateful for this amazing community and the Chamber for making this happen!
FFA will be selling hot chocolate in the foyer before school on Thursday and Friday this week. Bring your $2 for a nice warm cup.
December's shorter days mean later sunrises and earlier sunsets. Thankfully, we have Avail Toilets to help our staff maintain their regular schedule and keep us going during these last days of 2023. We want to thank them and all of our Monthly Coffee Sponsors for their support.
Students from the Junior High Art Club and the Seventh Grade Art Classes designed and painted Christmas Card Boards that went on display at the LaGrange County Courthouse this past weekend. The cards, along with others made by other schools and artists in LaGrange County, will be up through Christmas for the community to enjoy. Pictured along with the cards are the students who worked on each card.
Congratulations to the 7th grade boys team for winning the Junior High NECC conference!
High School student council sold sandwiches this morning for either $10 or 10 items for the LaGrange County Animal Sanctuary, who will receive the proceeds from this year's giving portion of Homecoming week. Today was a success, so we will do the same tomorrow, December 14!
Shipshewana's Lights of Joy (Blue Gate and Trading Place) donated a portion of their first night's earnings to all three Lagrange County public schools for the Boomerang Backpack program. We appreciate your donation! Also, thank you to Stephanie Oakley and Carolyn Schlabach, who implement this program at Westview.
